Morning: Coffee, Metro, and the Eiffel Tower (1,500 steps)
Start at Rue Cler
Begin your day with breakfast on Rue Cler, a charming market street near the Eiffel Tower. Grab a coffee and a fresh croissant to start your day with an extraordinary taste of Paris. Walking along this street and browsing local shops should only take around 500 steps.
The Eiffel Tower
From École Militaire station, take a metro ride (Line 8) to La Motte-Picquet – Grenelle. Walk a few blocks to Champ de Mars for incredible Eiffel Tower views, adding just 500–700 steps to your count. Snap some photos and soak in the sights without rushing. Make sure you visit tower in night as well. The Aura is breathtaking.
Midday: The Seine, the Louvre, and Tuileries Garden (4,500 steps)
Arc de Triomphe
Head to the Bir-Hakeim station and take Line 6 to Charles de Gaulle – Étoile, where you’ll find the Arc de Triomphe. Climb to the top for panoramic views or admire it from below; either way, it's worth the stop. Exploring here adds about 1,500 steps.
The Louvre Museum
Head to the Charles de Gaulle – Étoile to Line 1, exiting at Palais Royal – Musée du Louvre. This iconic museum is home to masterpieces like the Mona Lisa, and if you’d like a quick visit, plan your route inside to hit just a few highlights. Walking around the museum and the main courtyard adds approximately 2,000 steps.
Explore Tuileries Garden
After the Louvre, take a walk through the nearby Tuileries Garden, where you can enjoy a beautiful setting with fountains, sculptures, and benches for resting. Strolling through the garden and resting by the fountains adds around 1,500–2,000 steps. This is the best place for the peace of mind after visiting the Louvre Museum.

Notre-Dame Cathedral on Île de la Cité

Catch Line 12 from Saint-Sulpice to Abbesses station in Montmartre. This neighborhood is full of charm and has fewer crowds in the evening, ideal for exploring cobbled streets, artists’ corners, and small cafes without rushing. Expect to take 2,500–3,000 steps here if you meander around its highlights.
Ascend to Sacré-Cœur
Walk up the steps to the Basilica of Sacré-Cœur or take the funicular for an easier ascent, reducing your step count. Enjoy the sunset views over Paris from the top, adding 1,500 steps if you walk or fewer if you use the funicular.
